Does it record video?
No. This is a solar motion light with a camera-style housing. It does not record footage, connect to a monitoring app or send security alerts.
Do I need an outlet or electrical wiring?
No electrical connection is needed. The integrated solar panel charges the battery. The wall bracket uses screw mounting, so drilling may be required.
Will it stay on all night?
There is no guaranteed all-night runtime. Operating time depends on sunlight, temperature, lighting mode and motion activity. Choose occasional motion lighting when conserving charge matters.
Can I put it under a porch roof?
Only if the solar panel still receives adequate direct sunlight. A deeply shaded porch can reduce charging. Check sun exposure before mounting.
Why isn't the motion light turning on?
Check the selected mode, power setting and battery charge. Test after dark, clear obstructions in front of the sensor, and adjust its position. Installation height and angle can affect detection.
Can pets trigger it?
PIR sensors respond to changes in infrared energy, so pets may activate the light. It does not identify people or filter pets like an AI security camera.
